The Absence of Leo Effect

The Braves signed Damian Moss to a minor league deal yesterday. It's not mentioned in the article, but Moss was one of those young pitchers who evidently didn't get along well with Mazzone. It was cast as a personality clash, but maybe Moss's walk totals had something to do with it, too. Obviously, he's a longshot.

It likely has to do with John Foster's possible season-ending injury. Moss would be a left-handed arm for the bullpen and insurance in case we trade one of the starting pitchers like Thompson or Ramirez. If we had an injury to one of the 5 remaining starters Moss would be a decent option.
